Acceptable Use and Community Standards
Autonomic is designed to support cognitive performance, wellbeing, personal growth, and healthy behavior change. To maintain a safe and supportive environment for all users, individuals using the Platform agree to comply with the following standards.
Respectful Use
Users must interact with the Platform in a respectful and lawful manner. Users may not use the Platform to:
- Harass, bully, intimidate, threaten, or abuse others.
- Promote hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent their identity.
- Submit false, misleading, or intentionally deceptive information.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Platform.
Safety and Crisis-Related Content
Autonomic is not an emergency service, crisis hotline, healthcare provider, or replacement for professional medical or mental health care.
Users must not use the Platform to:
- Encourage, promote, or glorify self-harm, suicide, violence, or criminal activity.
- Make credible threats toward themselves or others.
- Use the Platform to plan, facilitate, or coordinate harmful or illegal activities.
Where content suggests a risk of harm to the user or another person, Autonomic may review, escalate, or report such content in accordance with applicable law, institutional agreements, and its safety protocols.
Prohibited Content
Users may not submit content that:
- Contains unlawful material.
- Contains threats of violence.
- Contains targeted harassment or abuse.
- Promotes terrorism, extremist activity, or organized violence.
- Contains sexually exploitative content.
- Violates the intellectual property rights of others.
- Attempts to exploit, manipulate, or bypass Platform safeguards.
Misuse of Artificial Intelligence Systems
Users may not:
- Attempt to manipulate, reverse engineer, probe, or exploit Autonomic's AI systems.
- Use the Platform to generate harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful content.
- Use automated tools to interfere with or overload the Platform.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to data, systems, accounts, or services.
Institutional Programs
Where the Platform is provided through a college, university, employer, or other organization, users must also comply with any applicable institutional policies, codes of conduct, or acceptable use requirements.
Monitoring and Review
To maintain platform safety, quality, and compliance, certain user submissions may be reviewed by authorized personnel and safety systems. Reviews may include automated and human-in-the-loop processes designed to ensure the accuracy, safety, and effectiveness of the Platform.
Enforcement
If a user violates these Terms of Service, Community Standards, or other applicable Platform policies, Autonomic may take one or more of the following actions:
- Issue a warning.
- Restrict access to certain features.
- Remove content.
- Temporarily suspend access to the Platform.
- Terminate access to the Platform.
- Notify an affiliated institution where permitted by law, contractual obligations, or safety considerations.
Autonomic reserves the right to take any action reasonably necessary to protect users, institutional partners, personnel, and the integrity, security, and operation of the Platform.
Suspension and Removal of Access
Autonomic reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate a user's access to the Platform if the user:
- Violates these Terms of Service or Community Standards.
- Engages in harassment, threats, intimidation, or abusive conduct.
- Repeatedly submits inappropriate or prohibited content.
- Attempts to manipulate, exploit, or interfere with Platform operations.
- Creates a significant safety, security, or operational risk through misuse of the Platform.
- Uses the Platform in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.
Where appropriate, Autonomic may issue a warning before suspension or termination. However, Autonomic may immediately suspend or terminate access without prior notice where it reasonably believes such action is necessary to protect the safety, security, or integrity of the Platform, its users, institutional partners, or personnel.
For users participating through an institution, Autonomic may notify designated institutional representatives when access is suspended or terminated where permitted by law, contractual obligations, or safety considerations.
Termination of access does not relieve users of obligations arising prior to termination and does not limit Autonomic's rights under these Terms.
Reporting Concerns
Users who believe these standards have been violated may contact Autonomic through designated support channels. Reports will be reviewed in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
